Campbell and I always make birthdays a huge occasion!
living overseas for so long, meant it was always just the two of us when there was a special occasion. So we always made a ‘big fuss’ of every birthday, anniversary, Christmas etc (Christmas is a whole other topic and my favourite time of the year) making sure that it was special.
Last week was Campbells birthday. Birth days become birth weekends at our house. Campbell was spoiled rotten. He received so many very thoughtful gifts from friends and family. Most importantly (and I think it shows just how much he is loved), everyone who came to see him stayed for hours and hours! Campbell never expects anything for his birthday and is always humbled by how much attention he receives.
He was invited out for dinner, he also spent time at home cooking with family, to quote him he had ‘an amazing time’.
I’m never surprised by the love he receives, he is a wonderful man, kind, loving, gentle, a brilliant storyteller (he sees something funny in pretty much every situation) and he goes along with my crazy adventures which I could not be more grateful for. Happy birthday my love and here’s to many more!
