It's finally here, my favourite time of year!!
Its a chance to spend time with all the people we love and take stock of the year we have had and the memories we made.
This year, I have loved spending time with family, friends and friends visiting from NZ.
We had more friends from NZ come and spend a few nights with us last week. As usual it just wasn't long enough. It was so nice to catch up together and share a little of our beautiful scenery.
This year I feel very grateful for the people in my life. Late in June. I lost my mum. She passed peacefully in her sleep which I am thankful for. Its a horrible feeling to lose our parents, but it made me realise just how important my family are to me and how precious our time together is.
I hope you are all spending time with loved ones too.
My beautiful grandsons spent Christmas eve volunteering and delivering food packages for charity, they are such wonderful special boys. We had Christmas dinner together (a couple of days ago) and had a great time!! My beautiful granddaughter will be spending the whole day with us tomorrow and I'm really looking forward to seeing her for cuddles and giggles.
Like many families nowadays, we are a blended family. I love being part of our family and I really do cherish every moment I get to see everyone and spend time with them.
One of my favourite parts is decorating the house for Christmas. This year I have six, yes six trees. I have taken a few photos for you all.
Hoping you have a restful break with your loved ones ♥️
