Well, I say pizza, but it’s actually cheesy garlic bread pizza!!

We finally got out our new pizza oven and gave it a go.

I’m the interests of always being honest, this was actually the second attempt. The first time was a sticky mini disaster. I forgot to flour the tray, everything stuck, Campbell tried to force it into the oven, where it then stuck to the base and, as promised, within sixty seconds it was a fully cooked sticky mini disaster!!

We didn’t even dare photograph it 🙈 I will admit though, we ate it…. Yip…. and it was actually pretty good, all things considered!

So, this time, I carefully made the dough, set up all the ingredients, herbs, sauce etc and remembered to flour the tray. True to the ovens claim, we had yummy garlic bread and pizza, cooked in 60 seconds (and nothing sticky except the cheesy topping).

Cooking outside is brilliant fun. Who cares if it’s windy, we are in Scotland. That’s why we wear jumpers (sweaters) and woolly hats!

Something about being outside makes the food taste even better I think.
In Scotland, we get a lot of rain (you may have heard) so when the sun is out, it’s crucial that we take the time to appreciate it, and when it’s raining, well…… that’s what the garage is for!

Pizzas can be quite expensive here and i don’t think it will take many pizza nights to get a return on our wee investment…. Plus….. who doesn’t like making their own pizza!

Attempt ….. 2 😊
